Jerald J. Woody, Sr.
was born on November 5, 1947 at Gallinger Hospital and was
raised in Northwest Washington D.C. Woody instructed at Lincoln
Technical Institute in 1977 to 1985 and has over twenty years of
vocation trades experience in the District of Colubmia. He created summer jobs and programs
for the Department of Public Works for the youth from 1987 to
1995. Woody established The Parents and Community for ‘’Action’’
Association, Inc (PCAA) in 1991, this non-profit organization’s
purpose is to provide interactive, recreational and educational
opportunities for the youth and adults in the community of
Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area. Jerald Woody also supported
Justin Wayoro’s non profit organization “Big Justin’s
Production’s Inc. He was the mentor to many in the
organization and overlooked the entire program.
Woody continued to mentor to Mr. Wayoro, in which he learned
valuable lessons in business and community organization. Wayoro
had developed leadership qualities from Jerald Woody that would
make him stand out and create a difference in the world. Woody
played a big part in Mr. Wayoro’s life, Wayoro is very thankful to
have him as a mentor and good friend. Woody will truly be missed
my everyone who he’s inspired and help. Rest in peace and
his name will never be forgotten.
